- Mbappe suffered a broken nose in a match against the Netherlands.
- The French star was allowed to play but on condition he wears a protective face mask at all times.
- The protective mask prevents Mbappe from showing off his skills to the fullest, as some of his vision is obscured.

After having to play with a protective mask against Poland, France’s star striker Kylian Mbappe revealed that the mask annoys him “a lot”. Adding that playing like this greatly limits his vision. The superstar had to wear the mask because he broke his nose in a fierce game against the Netherlands in the Euro 2024 group stage.
“At first I didn’t think anything of it, but playing with a mask on is the worst. I tried to change it several times because every time something didn’t go right. It’s very difficult. You play with your vision reduced, and the sweat makes it even harder to see, so you have to take off the ยูฟ่าเบท mask to let the sweat flow through. As soon as I can take it off. I will take it off immediately. But I have no choice. I have to play like this. It can be very annoying. But I have to thank the mask for allowing me to play.”
“When I got injured I didn’t think much of it. I didn’t even know what was wrong with me. I didn’t feel like my nose was broken until I saw the look on the other goalkeeper’s face and I started to realise something was wrong. It was a little scary when I got home. I looked in the mirror and it wasn’t a good idea.”
Kylian Mbappe is one of the favorites to win the Euro 2024 top scorer award, but so far he has only scored once from a penalty kick. This means that in open play, Mbappe is still scoreless. In addition, having to wear a mask in every match from now on, it seems that the goal of winning the Golden Boot will not be easy for the French player, and it is unknown how much it will affect the team’s overall play.
